North Korea Nuclear Testing

>> Monday 25 May 2009

It seems that North Korea have yet again failed in their attempts to launch their nuclear arsenal. The first attempt showed their intention of firing the nuclear warheads in to the sea while pretending they successfully detonated. Their most recent attempt was however thwarted when they forgot to remove the hatch to their secret underground nuclear launch station, the resulting 4.5 on the Richter style earth quake did however take some explaining.

Obama commented on the failed nuclear test as reckless, pointing out that North Korea very nearly damaged it's fine child slave labour style suit making economy, which does turn out some very nice evening wear.

The Expenses Nightmare in the UK

>> Wednesday 20 May 2009

One of the biggest stories in the UK right now is how MP's have been claiming expenses over three times in value to their actual wage. For instance many MP's on wages of around £50,000 have been claiming nearly £200,000 in expenses every year. This includes a new £150 bonus for MP's turning up to work every day.

This itself particularly amuses me, especially when i look back to a TV interview I caught,

MP: What the public doesn't understand is the absolute need for MP's to arrive on time, every time
Interviewer: So being an MP is kind of like having a Job?

Infact one of the major expenses qualms has been abuse of the second home payments to MPs, infact many have called for the system to be scrapped all together, after all in many other jobs you have to move to accommodate your role, and pay for your own accommodation.

Of course, the disparity around second home claims really comes to nothing when compared to some of the other 'job related expenses' that have been incurred by the people meant to be leading our country.

Take for instance, a claim for a moat, very job related, porn, stylish granite work tops and a huge number of generic house repairs.

All in all I am looking forward to seeing our politician's suffer as

Vegan Lifestyle

>> Tuesday 19 May 2009

I have been a long time meat eater, and will continue to be so for a long time to come. However after meeting my current fiancee I have been introduced to a few Vegan Recipes which are surprisingly tasty, and though I don't think these will ever replace my meat eating habits they are definately good for an occasional change!

When it comes to vegans themselves I often have doubts, a lot of them are, to put it simply, crazy. They tend to be manic about animal rights and the unhealthyness of meat, not to mention the environment.

Fortunately some, my fiancee included, are ok, and take Veganism as their own personal choice, unlike others who try to force their views on to others.

Possibly That.

For those who are new to my blogs you can find out about my past ramblings here where I would moan to the world, and on some occasions still will.

This however is a place for me to talk on a lighter note about some of the issues affecting today's world, as well as those (Or more accurately, most probably those) affecting my day to day life.

While the most interesting thing to happen to me is my recent refusal of entry to America, a story I may go into at some point soon, the thing that really is entertaining me the most right now is John Prescotts impression of Gordon Brown. I cannot help but like this guy, who once took his left hook to a man who threw (I think) an egg at him, who has always been blazonly honest in his speaches and who holds little back. Infact it is a shame he works for labour, more commonly refered to as New-Conservative.

This bulldog look is how ever scarily reminiscent of our current prime minister, I wonder if this will be realised?
